Lesson 8: Prayer
Hi AY Family,
1 Timothy 2:1 says: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.”
God wants all of us to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving.
When we have done something wrong to someone, we should confess our faults and pray for each other so that we can be healed.
James 5:16 says: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
The same Christ that died, rose again, and is at the right hand of God, is the same Christ who condemns and is also interceding on our behalf.
Romans 8:34 says: “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
God is able to save all those who come to Him, and Christ is still living today. He is in Heaven making intercessions for us.
Hebrews 7:25 says: “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercessions for them.”
God wants us to pray with others and not know what they are going through.
Christ is interceding for everyone, including you!
He really emphasizes the importance of prayer because He does not want us to take intercessions for others lightly.
Won’t you intercede on behalf of others today?
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
