Lesson 37: Being Called to Ministry
Lesson 37: Being Called to Ministry
Hi AY Family,
On July 2, 2022, I had two dreams back-to-back, and I did not expect it to happen.
In my first dream, I dreamt that my family and I were going somewhere 1 hour and 15 minutes away from home.
On the way there, everywhere I looked, I saw people feeling sad, going through difficult times, and needing help, but other people were helping them already.
After my first dream, I woke up and then went back to sleep.
In my second dream, I saw it was a continuation of the previous one.
As I was walking, I saw a big blue house on the left side and a big brown house on the right side with a yellow pathway between the two houses.
I saw this lady who lived at the brown house, and she was all by herself.
She had no one to be with her so I stopped to be with her.
After she brought me inside her house, I hugged her and then encouraged her by letting her know that she was not alone.
When we went back outside, we sat on gray chairs under a red umbrella on the right side of her house so I could pray with her.
After I was done praying with her, she said “Amen.”
On July 8, 2022, I had a third dream. I dreamt that I was at a place with other young people, and we were all sitting on a bench.
There were two new people there, and they were both sisters.
We all helped clean the counter because it had a lot of stuff. After that, I saw one of the sisters, sitting at a table by herself with her head down while everyone else was sitting on the bench talking to each other.
I came to her, introduced myself, and comforted her because no one else was talking to her, and that made her very sad and lonely.
We had things in common and became friends after that.
She was very happy and also hugged me because she appreciated me being there for her.
My heart ached for her because the other young people disregarded her and did not accept her for who she was or even acknowledge her, and she felt forgotten and very lonely because of it.
I never had a dream where a young person was crying, and I came up to them to comfort them and be there for them despite what everyone else was doing.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
