James 4:10 says: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

     When you are humble in God’s sight, He will lift you up. Humility teaches us about the importance of denying ourselves. 

     Being prideful will not help anyone. Always remember that God wants all of us to be of a meek and quiet spirit.

     It takes us a long time to understand the importance of humility because we always want to be right. 

     We know that if we continue being prideful, we will start making other people feel small and not important. 

     We acknowledge that we could not do everything by ourselves and that we needed God’s help. 

     In the next part of the HAPPY method, we will talk about trusting in the Lord and acknowledging Him for who He is.

     He does not want us to have pride in our hearts because it does not represent Him at all.

     Proverbs 16:18 says: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” 

     Will you be humble so that God can use you to be a blessing to others? Do you want to learn about what it means to deny yourself? Go to God’s Word, and He will teach you about denying yourself.
