Lesson 28: Pagan Celebrations
Lesson 28: Pagan Celebrations
Hi AY Family,
In our world today, there are a lot of people who celebrate their birthday, including a lot of Christians.
The only times in the Bible mentioned people celebrating their birthdays were Pharaoh's birthday and King Herod's birthday.
Genesis 40:20 says: “And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.”
Matthew 14:6 says: “But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.”
Why wait until your birthday to be grateful for life? You do not know if you will live to see the next moment let alone your next birthday, and every day, you are a day older, so give thanks for life every day.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
