Lesson 10: God Is Speaking to You
Hi AY Family,
Psalm 6:6 says: “I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears."
David was tired of groaning, and he was crying so much that his bed and couch were full of his tears.
Jeremiah was crying so much because of the destruction of his people.
Lamentations 3:48 says: “Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
As Peter was remembering what Jesus said to him, he was crying because he denied Him three times.
Matthew 26:75 says: “And Peter remembered the words of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.”
Trust is broken when someone that we trusted betrays and denies us and we do not understand why they would do that to us.
We know that Jesus was hurt when Peter denied Him three times.
Are you broken and hurting right now? Is it difficult for you to trust God even when you are in tears? Just remember that He is there to comfort you, and He will never deny you or leave you.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
