Lesson 7: Empathizing with Others
Lesson 7: Empathizing with Others
Hi AY Family,
2 Corinthians 1:3 says: “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
God comforts us because He is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.
Because God is the God of all comfort, He comforts us so that when we see that someone is going through a difficult time, we can comfort them because of the comfort that God has given us.
2 Corinthians 1:4 says: “Who comforteth us in all tribulations, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
When He gives us comfort during our difficult times, He wants us to impart that same comfort to others so that they can be comforted and also know that Someone really loves them.
Jesus comforted others when they were going through difficult times, and He wants us to do the same thing because He wants us to be His hands and feet.
Do you need to be comforted? Are you going through a difficult time right now? Go to God in prayer and talk to Him. He is willing to comfort you, encourage you, and be there for you when you need Him the most.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
