Lesson 1: Loving the Forgotten
Lesson 1: Loving the Forgotten
Hi AY Family,
Matthew 25:37-40 says: “Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Proverbs 19:17 says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”
When we care about others, the Lord will bless us.
God gives us a new commandment that we should love others, especially since He loved us. When we love others, we are His disciples.
John 13:34-35 says: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 15:12 says: “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
Jesus healed ten lepers, healed the sick, healed people with leprosy, cast out demons, healed the blind, and paralytic, raised the dead, and healed the infirmed woman.
He healed so many people. By faith, we will be able to help people like these, too.
Jesus was our Great Example of showing us how we can help and love others. Jesus was willing to help others, heal them, and raise them from the dead. He was not too busy or made excuses. He just helped them. He does not want to see anybody suffer.
Lazarus was Jesus’ friend. When Lazarus died, He raised him from death.
He did not wait for people to ask Him to heal them because He just did.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
