Lesson 17: Other Types of Boundaries
Lesson 17: Other Types of Boundaries
Hi AY Family,
We protest against ungodly church behavior, which is at the heart of our ministry.
1 Samuel 2:22-23 says: “Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.”
We understand that we are all sinners, but that is no excuse for ungodly behavior within the church.
Whether it is playful or not, it is not okay to touch anyone in any way, especially if it makes them uncomfortable.
I have heard too much on the news about people in church leadership engaging in ungodly behavior by having an inappropriate relationship with a church member, which causes them to lose their participation in church leadership and in the church.
What another person might see that kind of behavior as harmless or just a misunderstanding, we see it as intentional disrespect and betrayal.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
