Lesson 9: The Lord Is with You
Hi AY Family,
Psalm 94:3-5 says: “LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage?”
David asked the Lord about how long the wicked will triumph. The wicked and the workers of iniquity speak things that are hurtful. The wicked break God’s people into pieces and trouble His heritage.
David wanted God to hear his prayer and to let his cry come to Him. His request to God was for Him not to hide His face from him when he was in trouble, but he wanted Him to listen to him and to answer him speedily when he called out to Him.
Psalm 102:1-2 says: “Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I call answer me speedily.”
David wanted the Lord to hear his voice and let His ears attend to the voice of his supplications.
Psalm 130:2 says: “Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.”
When you are going through a difficult time, it is okay for you to lament and cry out to God in prayer because He is willing to hear you when you call out to Him.
Sincerely,
Samuel Reid
