DISCLAIMER: I know about the different phases of cover-up culture from personal experience. Cover-up culture is not only happening in the Sunday Christian churches, but it's also happening in the Seventh-day Adventist churches.

The fifth phase of cover-up culture is what I call "The Trauma Phase".

     In this phase, after teens or adults do something inappropriate with minors, the minors are traumatized because they thought they could trust the teen or adult, but instead, the teen or adult took advantage of them.

     The trauma for minors can be emotional, mental, physical, and even spiritual.

     Traumatic events like teens or adults taking advantage of minors in some way can affect the minors for the rest of their lives.
