SERMON 6: Forgiveness

Read for This Week’s Study: Matthew 5:44; Matthew 6:14-15; Matthew 7:12; Colossians 3:13; and 1 John 1:9.

Memory Text: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44, KJV).

God wants us to find it in our hearts to forgive those who mistreat us, even if we think what they did to us is unforgivable.

     He does not like it when there are unresolved disagreements in our relationships with other people.

     He likes it when we forgive the person for what they did to us and forget about what they did, so we can move forward with the relationship.
